
Local Arrests Highlight Crime Trends In Broome County This Week

The arrests and charges listed below do not reflect all the activities of the Broome County Sheriff's Department for the week. All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Petit Larceny
Brad Williams from Endicott was charged with Petit Larceny following a larceny investigation in the Town of Union.
Following an investigation into multiple larcenies in the City of Binghamton, Meiranda Ewing was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny.
Criminal Mischief
Kyle Nowalk was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree following an investigation into criminal mischief in the Broome County Correctional Facility.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office reported that Scott Evanchof of Windsor was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and Harassment in the 2nd Degree following a warrant execution in the Town of Windsor.
Prison Contraband
Following an investigation into manufactured alcohol in the Broome County Correctional Facility, Jalijah Mayo from the Town of Dickinson was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree.
Dillon Thomas of Binghamton was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree following a contraband investigation in the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Adriel Lopez from Binghamton was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree following an investigation into manufactured alcohol in the Broome County Correctional Facility.
Criminal Possession
Following a traffic stop in the Town of Chenango, Kristina Ciaccia of Rochester was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree.
Christopher Surmik was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree following a traffic stop in the Town of Union.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office noted that Timothy Backes from Windsor was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree following a traffic stop in the Town of Union.
As a result of a traffic stop in the Town of Union, Gregory Fellows of Endwell was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
Child Endangerment
Melody Hoogendoom from the Town of Dickinson was charged with Child Endangerment following an investigation into a dispute in the Town of Dickinson.
Following an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Binghamton, Tara Bendert was charged with Child Endangerment and Harassment in the 2nd Degree.
Statutory Rape
Isaiah Hines of Binghamton was charged with Rape in the 2nd Degree following a statutory rape investigation in the Town of Union.
Robbery
Charged with Robbery in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, Escape in the 3rd Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree following a robbery investigation in the Town of Union - Camran Rios from Liverpool, NY.
