FIRST LOOK: Inside Binghamton’s Newest Event Venue
A building that originally served as a supermarket in a Binghamton neighborhood is coming back to life as a banquet facility.
Celebrations on Park is opening its doors this week as a venue for weddings, corporate events and other gatherings.
The 8,000-square-foot facility is located at 136 Park Avenue on the city's South Side.
The building opened as a Harris Foodlines grocery store in 1965. It later was home to a Knights of Columbus post.
Nicole Travis, Danielle Sepe Yurka and Justin Sepe spent the past three years working to transform the unused building into a multi-use event center. The building was acquired from the Knights of Columbus in January 2021.
The facility can accommodate up to 250 seated guests with a maximum capacity of 350 people.
The owners say the venue features a custom-crafted bar, along with state-of-the-art sound and audio-visual equipment.
The place will be busy this weekend with events before and after Binghamton's St. Patrick's parade.
More information about the venue is available at the Celebrations on Park website.
