The 1992 Binghamton Mets won the Eastern League championship in its inaugural year, after more than two decades without professional baseball in the Triple Cities. The B-Mets knocked out the Canton-Akron Indians three games to one.

In just the 3rd season, the 1994 Binghamton Mets brought home another Eastern League championship trophy. Over 5000 fans watched the team win at home over the Harrisburg Senators, taking the series three games to one.

It would be 20 years before the Binghamton Mets would hold the Eastern League trophy again. The 2014 Binghamton Mets defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels with a three-game sweep, winning the championship on home turf.

The Rumble Ponies note that the Binghamton Baseball Shrine began in 1993, and currently has 81 members. This year will be the 28th induction class.
