Hatch, a well-known name in the baby products market, has announced the recall of its baby sound machine Rest adaptors after receiving reports of electric shock incidents associated with the devices. The company is urging all parents to immediately stop using the affected products and take steps to address the issue.

The Recall

Hatch has issued a recall for the adaptors of nearly one million Rest 1st Generation machines. The reason behind the recall is a concern that some units of the baby sound machines might come with AC power adapters that could expose adults and children to electric shocks.

Incident Reports

According to the company, there have been 19 consumer reports highlighting the issue, two of which reported minor electrical shocks. Although the number of incidents appears to be relatively small, the potential risk of an electric shock, especially for young children, is concerning. The affected products were sold through various retailers and online channels nationwide.

Safety Measures

To ensure the safety of children and users, the company is urging consumers to take immediate action. Hatch advises all customers to stop using the recalled power adapters and contact the company for a free replacement power adapter.
