Mike Flanagan has positioned himself as the undisputed master of horror on Netflix. From the Haunting of Hill House to Bly Manor to Midnight Mass and now The Fall of the House of Usher, I look forward to his offerings. This year is no different. The Fall of the House of Usher is a master work, but there's lots of details, so be sure to be attentive.

This Hulu live action reboot series is now streaming. As of today, six out of ten episodes have been released. I'm up to date on the first five, and I'm pleasantly surprised so far. The story and acting are solid and entertaining, and the horror/comedy elements work really well. Highly recommend this one.

Gen V

Full disclosure, for all the film and storytelling I enjoy, I have no interest in superhero films or TV shows. Marvel, DC, et al...their stories just don't interest me. On the flipside, I do love the left of center superhero outings like Deadpool, Peacemaker, and the Boys. Gen V is a Boys spinoff from Prime Video, and this franchise keeps churning out exceptional TV that's hilarious and shockingly gross at the same time.

Bodies

I've been anticipating this one for a bit. This Netflix British crime thriller limited series follows four detectives in four different timelines as they discover the same body and try to crack the case. There's a ton of plot here to sift through, but I'm definitely up to the challenge.
