It’s Time to Play; What Died in Here?
This morning when I opened the fridge here at the radio station to throw my lunch in there I started gagging by the smell of someone's forgotten lunch. I understand how it happens, someone brings food in for lunch and either the station has lunch brought in or someone from work asks them to go to lunch. Then they forget about what they put in the fridge and it keeps getting buried further and further in the back of the refrigerator.
This refrigerator is less than a year old and has been cleaned out a couple of times already. I myself cleaned it out the last time. I really wish I had taken a picture of what I found. I pulled out a plastic bag and opened it. Inside was a burrito that was green and fuzzy. I honestly couldn't tell if it was turkey or roast beef. That must have been in there a couple of weeks. I do my best to make sure I don't leave anything behind but obviously, some of my coworkers are more forgetful than I am. I might head out at lunch to buy a Hazmat mask and clean the thing out later this afternoon.
I'm sure if you have a refrigerator where you work you have to go through this as well. With the Whale's studio being right across from the lunchroom, I will be the first one to smell the stank every time someone opens the door.
