It's no secret the Summer of 2016 has been hot. It was forecasted over the unusually mild Winter, and so far, that prediction has come true.

So what do you do to cool down? Aside from sitting inside an air-conditioned home or business, here's a few ideas, especially if you don't have access to air-conditioning. Just a few ideas. Maybe they will help?

    Go Swimming

My personal favorite. You will get cooled down quickly. We have no shortage of places to go, from community pools to the many lakes, parks and rivers we have access to.

    Visit an Ice Cream Stand

If there's one thing we have plenty of, it's ice cream stands. Everyone of them have their own favorites and so many different forms of ice cream.

    Buy a Fan

If air-conditioning is not available (it can be expensive) get a fan. Most fans are pretty inexpensive, and if placed correctly, can help to beat off some of that scorching heat and humidity.

    Take a Cold Shower

If getting out to find a pool is not in the cards, how about jumping in the shower and take advantage of the cold water a bit. It's better than nothing, right?

    Turn Off The Lights

Unless you have LED lights, they put out heat. Turn them off. Also close the blinds, Don't let that sun shine in. Do you have a bathroom fan or ceiling fan? Use it to cool down the house. At night, open the windows and get that cool air in, and close them in the morning before it gets hot again.
