I Cannot Wait for Vacation

I only work a couple days next week and then I'm off until September 10th. Chris and I are going to be heading to Myrtle Beach for 7 days and then we are stopping at a friend's house on the way home for a couple more. I feel bad because my step-son Ian has to stay home because he starts working on his Master's Degree at Binghamton University next week. But he seems okay with it so maybe I shouldn't feel bad.

Chris has had a timeshare in Myrtle Beach since well before we started dating. We go to the timeshare every other year on average. Other years, we will switch our week in Myrtle for a week at another one of our timeshare's parent company's properties.

The timeshare is three blocks from the beach and very close to Broadway on the Beach. We end up visiting the beach for at least one if not two days while we're there. The rest of the time we spend golfing, miniature golfing, and doing a bunch of touristy stuff in the area.

This year we have friends of ours from the Binghamton area of flying down to join us for a couple of days, and we have a friend that used to live in the Binghamton area driving down from her place in Wilmington, North Carolina to visit as well. Then on the way home will be spending a couple of days at her house before we return to the Binghamton area.

I'm looking forward to just relaxing for a couple of days and I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping in. I'm sure I'll have a tough time rolling out of bed at 4 a.m. on the 10th.
