How Are Kids Being Punished These Days?

When my parents were younger, they were punished by spanking, my sister and I got our desserts taken away or grounded but now the solution seems to be technology. According to Gawker, in Wisconsin a couple punished their daughter by posting pictures of themselves on her facebook and took her phone away.

Taking teens phones away seems to be a common trend. With all of the social networking sites out there and text messaging there are so many more ways for kids to get themselves in trouble. I have a friend who took his daughter's phone a way for a whole year and you bet she was pretty upset about it!

When I was younger, the worst punishment my parents ever gave my sister and I was separating us for two weeks. We happened to be fighting a lot for some reason as siblings often do so my wise parents decided we could not play or talk to each other for two whole weeks. I can tell you now, they were the longest two weeks of my childhood even though i wouldn't have admitted it then!
