Hillcrest Legion Hosts Annual Veterans Walk and 5K Run

This Sunday many residents will take part in the 9th annual Veteran's and 5K run at the Joseph P Mangan, American Legion Post #1194 in Hillcrest.

The purpose of this event is to raise money to help our local veterans and their families in need.

The event begins with an opening ceremony at 12:30pm, followed by the 5K run and the Walk.

The pubic is welcome to attend, even if you don't walk or run, there will be raffles, food, prizes and entertainment throughout the day

We all live busy lives and sometimes we lose site of what are veterans have done for us and continue to do.

We owe our freedom to the brave soldiers who fought for us, and made this country the greatest place on the planet, I can't think of a better cause than supporting those who have made that sacrifice, so that we can enjoy our freedom..

You can show up and register at the Legion anytime from now till the start on Sunday.
Come out and help our local veterans..
