March is an exciting time for high school and college basketball. The playoff season has begun this week for both men's and women's college teams.

And it's state finals time for the high school teams in the Empire State. Once again, this year, the NYSPHSAA boys basketball championships are being held at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.

The four-day tournament begins today, March 19th, concluding on Sunday, March 22nd. The Binghamton area will be buzzing with teams, families, and fans watching some great high school basketball action.

Section IV will be represented by Southern Tiers teams, Maine-Endwell in Class A, Seton Catholic in Class AA and Corning-Painted Post in Class AAA.

This is a major event for Broome County, and we’re proud to once again welcome teams and families from across New York State to our community. Not only does this tournament showcase high-level competition, it brings real economic impact to our local businesses and gives us an opportunity to highlight everything Broome County has to offer.
