This weekend, Court Street in downtown Binghamton will be filled with music, crafts, art, and the awesome aroma of fresh food during Binghamton's 57th annual July Fest.

The free event opens Friday at 10 a.m. with arts, crafts, and food. The Kids Art Zone opens Friday at noon, and at 1:30, the Music and Jazz Festival officially begins.

Saturday begins with the Parlor City 5K run starting on Water Street in downtown Binghamton at 9 a.m. The Music and Jazz Festival and Kids Art Zone both start at noon.

Sunday's festivities start at 10 a.m. with the Kids Art Zone opening at noon, and the annual event ends at 5 pm.

The music part of the festival starts at 1:30  on Friday with the Binghamton High School Juice Blenders Steel Band. One of the bands that I'm really looking forward to seeing is Terry Walker's Steely Dan tribute band called 'Dupree'. If you like Steely Dan, check them out. They will be on the main stage starting at 5:30 on Friday. Splash will close out the night with their show starting at 8.

Free parking is available for the event all three days at both the State Street and Water Street parking ramps.
