A Broome County resident who bilked several people out of thousands of dollars in a travel agent scam is heading to state prison.

51-year-old Lisa Stevens of Glen Aubrey was sentenced to 2½ to 7 years after she pleaded guilty to second-degree grand larceny.

Stevens was sentenced Wednesday morning by Broome County Judge Kevin Dooley.

Prosecutors say Stevens stole more than $100,000 by taking payments for vacation reservations in 2018. She failed to provide the expected services or return the money.

According to Broome County District Attorney Michael Korchak, similar charges are pending in Onondaga County.
