The Giants have won two in a row and will host the San Francisco 49ers in a Sunday Night match up, coverage begins at 7:30p on 991 The Whale.

The first quarter of the NFL season is over and the Giants have improved their game on both sides of the ball, allowing them to finish a complete game and not unravel in the fourth quarter, like the first two games of the season.

Eli Manning has found his receivers at key times, and the offensive line is fending off the pass rush and opening lane for the running game, it's also notable that they have only given up one sack against the blitz all season.

The biggest surprise for me is the Giants defensive, ranked number 1 against the run, coming off last week's game, where they held the Bills to just 55 yards on the ground.

The Big Blue defenders are creating turnovers, with relentless effort, while tackling opponents with efficiency.

The 49ers are 1 and 3, but they have a lot of talent, and the Giants will have to play another complete game, but if they can play like they did in Buffalo last week, they should be even better at home.

The Giants need to play their game and come out with a 3 and 2 record, the next two games are against NFC opponents The Eagles and Cowboys.

Catch all the action Sunday, starting with the pre-game show at 7:30pm, and keep it here after the game for coach Coughlin’s press conference and team interviews on your station for NY Giants Football, 99.1 The Whale.

Go Giants!
