Let's call this the Winter and current events edition. We'll throw North Korea into the mix here and even Cuba.

Here we go!

1. North Korea's military power is ranked lower, worldwide, than Canada and Switzerland. They are like the Oakland Raiders of world powers!

2.  Cubans can only drive and work on  pre-1959 cars that were seized from their original owners. All newer cars are owned by the government.  Cuba has a thriving "knock off" car part industry because of this.

3. The snowiest large city in America is Rochester, with an average of 94 inches a year.

4. The most under-reported distracted driving activity is any form of sex while driving. Guys driving getting action from a woman is the most risky behavior not reported.  Ummm, I guess so!

5. Most snowflakes measure less than a half inch across, but they can be over two inches.

6. Icicles mostly form on the  south side of a building because that is where snow generally melts, during the day, first. The melted snow freezes at night causing the icicles.

7. A phobia of snow does exist. It's called chionophobia and it is the severe fear of snow. It has nothing to do with driving either!

8. Unlike the stereotype, half the people asked in a recent survey say they actually enjoy the holidays with their in-laws. Only 12 percent said they need constant alcohol refills to get through the ordeal.

9. Electric Christmas lights were first used in 1854. There were no Clark Griswold's back then, so it was tasteful.

10. The actress who played Aunt Bethany (Mae Questel), in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was the voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl in the 1930's.  Play ball!
