Today is Valentine's Day. And every year around this time, a bunch of surveys are conducted asking people what they plan on doing for Valentine's Day. Here are some of the results of those surveys.

According to WalletHub, 9 million people will propose today. 1.3 billion dollars will be spent on greeting cards for Valentine's Day. According to the report, Hallmark alone has 1261 different Valentine's Day cards to choose from.

Whatever you do, if you are currently in a relationship, you're going to want to get that person some kind of present today. Because the report also states that 53% of women said that they would dump their significant other if they did not receive a Valentine's Day gift.

Flowers, especially roses, are one of the most popular gifts. In fact, 30% of the year's total sales of flowers are sold around Valentine's Day. According to the report, Americans will spent 2.3 billion dollars on flowers alone.

The report also says that on average, men will spend $357. on their wives, which is 3 times more than what women are expected to spend on their husbands this year.

WalletHub predicts that Americans will spend over 27 billion dollars in total on Valentine's Day.

If you haven't picked up a gift for that special lady in your life, it's not too late. You can always grab some flowers from the florist or a heart shaped box of chocolates at just about any store, and I'm sure every jeweler in town would be happy to accommodate your last minute shopping needs.

If you are still on the fence about what gift to give, just please don't give any of these. According to PR Newswire, Dating.com released a list of the worst gifts that their members have received for Valentine's Day. The list included a used candle, edible underwear, clothing that the man's EX left behind, and a greeting card for a different holiday.
