Today, we're excited to introduce you to Joshua Neary of Great Bend. Crystal Bender nominated Joshua to become a member of our First Responders Wall of Fame outlining his accomplishments to us:
“If it is to be, it is up to me,” is just one quote that Joshua Neary lives by. He is a 29 year old, serving the residents of Great Bend and Hallstead area, as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. In the 14 years of service of his volunteerism, he has touched a countless number of lives, while not forgetting the ones that have passed on. He started the fire service as a junior firefighter in Great Bend Hose Company and finished as their department’s Captain. He then became a dedicated and beloved member of the Hallstead Fire Company. As a committed member of the Great Bend Hallstead Ambulance, Joshua earned his EMT in 2009 and recently became the ambulance’s Lieutenant. When Mr.Neary is not severing his community as a first responder, he works full time as a nurse. He works in our local hospital at Endless Mountain Health Services in the emergency room and is also employed through a nursing staffing agency. It does not matter if its day or night, whether he worked his usual double shifts or had a day off, if you need help, he is there.
Our community is a better place because you, Joshua, are in it and we salute you and genuinely thank you for being the incredible human that you are!
