If my memory is correct, and I will be the first person to admit my memory "ain't what it used to be", the first concert at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena occured in 1973 with Chicago and Bruce Springsteen.

The 70s, 80s and 90s were full of great concerts from all types of musical genres. It seemed like we were attending a concert a month for many years. Oh how I miss those times. Remember how smokey it was during those shows? Somehow, we didn't mind.

Backstage experiences were the best, especially when we took Whale listeners back to meet the bands and artists. Seeing the joy on their faces meant more to me than personally meeting the artists.

Some of my favorite shows included Ozzy Osbourne, Hall & Oates, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Cinderella, .38 Special, Bad Company, B.B. King and The Blue Man Group.

Yes, I did see some non rock shows like The Go-Go's and (gasp) Milli Vanilli. I think they were lip syncing...LOL!

I wish I had not missed seeing Aerosmith and AC/DC when they came to the Arena. I've never seen either in concert and I am a big fan of AC-DC. So, what was your favorite concert(s) at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena?
