Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of a man in West Corners.

Authorities say 35-year-old Paul Warner of Endicott, has been charged with second-degree attempted murder.

State police say Warner, who lives at 1705 East Main Street, was arrested Monday morning.

Warner is accused of shooting 50-year-old Timothy Mancini in West Corners on the afternoon of September 24.

Investigators say Mancini was shot near 112 Carl Street. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of gunshot wounds.

Warner was arraigned in Union town court. He was sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

Shortly after the shooting, state police took four men into custody in connection with the investigation. The men were released after they were questioned by investigators.

It was not immediately known whether Warner was one of the men who had been interviewed by police.

Investigators have not said whether they expect to make more arrests in connection with the shooting.
