Endicott Gets Into the Holiday Spirit This Weekend
With the holidays coming up in just a couple of weeks, it's time now for all the tree lighting ceremonies and holiday parades. Endicott will be celebrating the start of the Holiday Season this weekend starting Friday night from 5 till 8.
They will be doing the holiday street lighting at 5 p.m. on Washington Avenue. That will feature live bands, jugglers, food from local restaurants, carolers, free cider donuts and Coco. There will also be a big fireworks display at 7:30 pm.
Then on Saturday it will be the annual Endicott holiday parade. This parade used to be in the late afternoon hours, but as of last year, they moved it up into the daytime hours.
The parade is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and will feature fire and police, high school bands, all sorts of service groups, and 99 1, The Whale. Oh, and some famous guy in a red suit.
The parade starts from the IBM parking lots on and around North Street and makes it with its way down Washington Avenue wrapping up at the high school.
