Eclectic Rock Pick of the Week: Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the band started touring aggressively in 2005 and hasn't stopped since! Fronted by the lovely and talented Ruby Velle, the band is influenced by the sounds of  50's and 60's R & B yet brings their own soul into the mix. Velle is backed by trumpet, baritone sax, tenor sax, organ/keys, electric guitar, bass and drums. From the moment I heard this group, I have quickly become mesmerized and addicted to the unparallelled soulful sound coming from these musicians.
