Eclectic Rock Pick of the Week: Against Me!

American punk rock band Against Me! was formed in Gainesville, Florida in 1997 by transgender singer and guitarist Laura Jane Grace (previously known as Tom Gabel). James Bowman and Andrew Seward came about in 2002 to form the most well known line up of the band.

The band released their first album, 'Reinventing Axl Rose' in 1998 and has since completed four more albums with a fifth on the way this year.

As a young punk kid with gender dysphoria, the band covers man political and touchy issues throughout their career. Laura Jane Grace only came out as a transgender publicly last year and will be performing as a woman from now on out.
