The building that houses Price's Sewing Machine Service has been sold.

Randy Price - who owns the business - said the new property owner will be renovating the building.

Price said he plans to continue serving his customers from a new location. He said he's considering a "couple of options."

Price's Sewing Machine Service has been on Court Street since 1949. The business was established by Price's father, Edward, a few years earlier. It first was located several blocks away on Wall Street.

Price described the move from Court Street as "bittersweet." He said operating a small business these days "is not easy."

Price declined to identify the new owner of the property or what is planned for the building. He said his business has been staying at the site on a month-by-month basis since the sale closed in December.
