Troopers say when they tried to pull 25-year-old Mamadou Barry over at 12:02 a.m. on October 24th, they saw him throwing paper-like objects out of the window.

Troopers and an Otsego County Sheriff’s Department scooped up counterfeit $50 and $100 bills that had been tossed from the car.

Authorities say they found Berry had allegedly used fake bills on separate dates at three businesses in the south side area of Oneonta.

He’s charged with six felony counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and three felony counts of tampering with evidence.

Berry was sent to the Otsego County Jail on $25,000 bail.
