'Knockin’ on Heavens Door' was written and originally recorded by one of the greatest 20th century songwriters, Bob Dylan.

Recorded for the soundtrack of the 1973 film, 'Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid', the song reached the #12 position on Billboards Hot 100.

It's a work of art in the Dylan catalog by virtue of the artists who have recorded it.

Guns-N-Roses started including it in their live sets back in 1987 and released both a live and studio version.

Check out the live version below and the Dylan original too!
