The New York State Department of Transportation is hosting a public information meeting September 17 to talk about pavement upgrades for State Route 206 in the Town of Bainbridge.  The meeting takes place beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Town Hall.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]The plans are calling for improvement of the pavement condition from Case Road in the Town of Bainbridge to the bridge over the Susquehanna River.

The project is scheduled to begin in the 2020 construction season and take one and a half seasons to complete.

About 1.1 miles of Route 206 in Chenango County is to be resurfaced along with the stabilizing of the slope near Fay Smith Road and Route 205 intersection.  Curb ramps are also to be replaced to meet the current Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines.

The meeting will begin with a formal presentation followed by a question and answer session
