Making his first NFL start, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones led the New York Giants to a come-from-behind 32-31 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florida.  Jones replaced veteran Eli Manning in the Giants starting lineup and key a New York win.

The Giants struggled early and trailed 28-10 at the half. Jones started the third quarter with a touchdown pass to Evan Engram and with a two-point conversion cut the Bucs' lead to 28-18.  Jones followed with a 74-yard pass and run to Sterling Shepard and that cut the score to 28-25.

As time was running out, Jones on fourth and goal found no receivers open and took off up the middle to score from seven yards out.  With the PAT the Giants took the lead 32-31.  With less than a minute to go Tampa Bay drove down the field and set-up kicker Matt Gay with a field goal attempt from the 34 yard line.  However, the kick went wide right as time expired.  The Giants, in a storybook day for Daniel Jones, had won the game.

Jones got some great catches from his receiving corps.  To make the road win even more remarkable was that star running back Saquon Barkley was injured late in the second quarter and saw no action in the second half.  He reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain.  Barkley gained just ten yards on eight carries in the game.
