Doug's Got Ya Covered Video of the Week

Two years ago the music world put together a double album of cover songs by one of the greatest songwriters of all time Paul McCartney. The words and music of Lennon and McCartney have been compared to some of the great composers of all ages.

They have written 100's of songs many that have been recorded by other artists and continue to be recorded today. I have always been a huge Beatle fan and followed the solo careers of all four of the band members.

John Lennon's career was cut short, George Harrison had a great solo career in the 1970's and Ringo had a few hits. Paul McCartney has stayed active performing to millions over the past 40 years, and has always been my favorite Beatle.

In 2014 over 40 different artists each put down a cover version of a McCartney solo or Beatle cover.

I thought it would be nice to feature one this week, so enjoy Cheap Trick's Robin Zander and Rick Nielson with the Paul McCartney and Wings Classic 'Jet'
