Cortland County Sexual Predator Sentenced For Raping Child

A Cortland County man is to spend 25-years to life in prison for predatory sexual assault against a child. 

32-year-old Matthew Price was convicted in August of raping a child repeatedly in June of 2017.

Cortland County District Attorney Patrick Perfetti says Price was sentenced to 25-years to life for two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child and 25 years for three counts of rape and several other sexual offenses.

Assistant District Attorney Christine Ferraro praised the victim for standing up to the abuser and testifying a courtroom “about the horrific trauma and abuse that tie victim endured.”  She said “The defendant stole the victim’s innocence and childhood and deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison where he cannot hurt anybody else.”
