'Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead'.....

Ah..... 16 years old, listening to the radio when all of a sudden, a brand new sound emerged from my FM radio as I was listening to 99.1 WAAL at the time.  'Bohemian Rhapsody,' by Queen may not have changed my life, but it sure did open my eyes and ears to a brand new kind of Rock N Roll.

Those were the days when we all new every member of the band and new all the words to all the songs we liked. I have to admit, it was a bit of a task to remember all the lyrics to this rather lenghthy, outa control tune. Scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?

That song grew and grew and grew on me, and so did the brilliant work of Queen. That song opened the door, to go back and scoop up albums like 'Sheer Heart Attack,' along with Queen's first two efforts.

I missed 'A Day At The Races,' somehow... But when my best friend, Tim Snopek picked up Queen's next mega album, 'News of the World,' I was completely hooked! Tim and I would listen to 'We Will Rock You/We are the Champions,' over and over and over. It's amazing that tune (or tunes) was on the radio at the exact time we were winning another Susquenango League Football Championship for Chenango Forks High. Good Times!

So with that, I get a little upset when the kids at school dances or parties request 'Bohemian Rap!'  Listen you little 9!$$ ants, get the name of the damn song right! I mean, Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

You don't have to know all the lyrics, but TWO WORDS, 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' should be easy enought to remember, right? At least that's my opinion but it's the only one that matters to me. In other words....  any way the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me...
