Christmas Breakfast with the Family

Christmas is different every year with my family. One year it's spending Christmas Eve together, another it's house hopping Christmas Day. This year was Christmas morning breakfast at my Dad's.

My oldest brother and his brood came, and as typical, late. Hey, it's a family tradition! My husband, Tom, and I were there, my Dad and my sister Vanessa, her husband and son. Somehow, all of us ended up in the kitchen during the cooking process.

My brother-in-law Joe was making bacon and I was whipping up the eggs. Someone yelled for more coffee, so Tom pulled the filter with old grounds from the pot and tried to hand it off to me. Over the eggs. Ok, so a few grounds got in the egg mix!

I simply added pepper and no one was the wiser. Really! I can't believe no one noticed. Shhhh. They still don't know and never will. Unless they read this.

Let's face it, every family gathering has one odd occurrence right? Or is it just my family?
