What To Expect At The Chenango County New York Community Baby Shower

On Monday, April 28, 2025, the Chenango County Health Department announced the 6th annual Chenango Community Baby Shower details. This event will occur on Saturday, May 10, 2025, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The location will be in the main lobby area at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, located at 179 North Broad Street in Norwich.

According to the Chenango County Health Department, this event has been a huge success over the past five years, and they look forward to the 2025 event being the best yet, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The Chenango Community Baby Shower is free and open to all pregnant women, families, and parents of children less the 12 months of age.  The event is an opportunity for pregnant women, their partners, and new parents to connect to valuable resources in their community while focusing on educating women about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

Activities and events will include door prizes, raffles, games, snacks, a photo booth, educational seminars, health care provider meet and greets, and a maternity tour. Community health professionals, along with human services providers and other professionals, will be on hand for learning opportunities.

The Chenango County Health Department notes that the 6th annual Chenango Community Baby Shower is coordinated by the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network, Chenango County Public Health, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Women’s Health, Chenango Healthy Families PACT Program, and CAPCO Chenango County WIC program.
