The Binghamton Bearcats added a key piece to their lineup when Chancellor Barnard decided to use his one remaining season of college basketball eligibility to play for Binghamton University and Coach Tommy Dempsey. Barnard played his first three seasons at Loyola of Maryland and averaged 4.7 points per game. He started 43 games for the Greyhounds.

He is enrolled in graduate school at Binghamton and joins teammate J.C.Show as graduate students playing for the Bearcats. So far this season Barnard is averaging 8.6 points per game and 6.6 rebounds. In addition he has combined with Caleb Stewart to lead a formidable shot blocking force. He has blocked 35 shots and rejected seven shots versus UMass Lowell last week. Barnard is fourth in blocked shots in America East. In the early part of the season Binghamton led the nation in blocked shots and is currently ranked twelfth in the country with 111.

Barnard is getting plenty of playing time for the Bearcats and is averaging 32.6 minutes per game. He has started all but one game this season.
