The State Police from the Blooming Grove barracks in Pike County say there were two vehicles hit by BB’s while driving in construction zones on Interstate 84 between mile markers 20 and 26 September 27, but it is important for all motorists to know what to do in an emergency situation.

Troopers say projectiles were being shot or thrown from a moving vehicle in the opposing lane of travel. But another issue is with shocked motorists being unsure of exactly where they are when calling authorities.

Authorities say be cognizant of your surroundings while traveling. Make sure you dial 911 immediately if you are in a situation where your vehicle is hit by something and pull off to a safe location to wait for police response.
