
Johnson City Celebrates The Return Of Carousel Day
We are the Carousel Capital of the World! What other community can boast six carousels? Well, five operating and one that will hopefully be back in operation soon.
Each Triple Cities carousel is a beautiful fixture and popular with locals and visitors as well. Carousels can be found and enjoyed at:
- C. Fred Johnson Park at 98 CFJ Boulevard in Johnson City
- George W. Johnson Park at 201 Oak Hill Avenue in Endicott
- West Endicott Park at 525 Maple Street at Page Avenue in Endicott
- Recreation Park at 58-78 Beethoven Street in Binghamton
- Ross Park at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton (currently under renovation)
- Highland Park at 801 Hooper Road in Endwell

So with that, the Johnson City Rotary Club has announced the return of Carousel Day to be held on Saturday, July 26th (2025). Carousel Day will be at CFJ Park, home of the C. Fred Johnson Carousel, located at 198 CFJ Boulevard in Johnson City, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Carousel Day is family-friendly and free of course to attend, featuring local businesses, organizations, and entertainers. Attendees will enjoy music, face painters, a juggler, and a balloon twister, among other fun activities.
In addition, Carousel Day at CFJ Park in Johnson City will feature a wide variety of food and craft vendors, along with local businesses and community groups sharing information and giveaways.
Carousel Day will begin with a 5K kicking off at 10 a.m., hosted by Confluence Running, followed by a Kid’s Fun Run at 11 a.m. For details and how to register, visit the CK Carousel 5K website.
