Three Binghamton University athletic greats will be inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in ceremonies tomorrow afternoon following the school's basketball doubleheader at the Events Center.

Avi Shaprut, Tare DeFlippo and Rachel Laws will become the newest members of the Hall of Fame and bring membership up to 103.  The Hall of Fame is located on the concourse level of the Events Center.

Shaprut was an All-American diver for the Bearcats from 1991-94.  He earned All-American honors twice.  DeFlippo also earned All-American honors as a Division III goalkeeper for Binghamton from 1994-96.  As a junior DeFlippo gave up only eight goals in 19 games and posted a remarkable .38 goals against average.

Laws is one of the finest basketball players to compete for Binghamton University.  She scored 1,246 career points which is fifth in school history.  She was an America East All-Conference selection in three different seasons. Laws played from 2002 - 06.

The inductees will be recognized on the floor of the Events Center during the Bearcats' basketball doubleheader.  The BU women host Columbia at noon and the men follow as they meet Loyola, Maryland 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.  Both games will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
