Two companies have been chosen by Broome County officials to provide food services now handled by Aramark.

County executive Jason Garnar said Sodexo has been selected to provide food for the Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal. The company also would serve senior centers and the Meals on Wheels program.

Garnar said food services at the county jail in the town of Dickinson would be provided by Trinity Services Group.

The county executive in February announced Aramark would be dropped after ongoing complaints concerning food operations at the nursing home.

The county legislature next month is expected to consider proposed contracts with Sodexo and Trinity.

Garnar said the goal is to have the food services provided by the two companies by the end of the year.
