New York State Police are looking for a second suspect in a home invasion homicide incident in Apalachin.

State Police Troop C Commander, Major Brian Shortall says at 5:55 a.m. May 9, two men entered a home at 5 Dorothy Road in Apalachin.  A woman inside said there was a knock at the door, two men entered, there was a confrontation between a man inside the home and one of the suspects and the man in the home was fatally shot.  The woman was not hurt.

One man was picked up nearby near Chucksters but the other man, who is described as white, standing five-feet, eight-inches tall wearing adark jacket, dark pants and work boots remains at large.

Tioga Hills Elementary School was closed while schools in the Union Endicott and Maine Endwell Schools were put on lockdown.
