Binghamton Mayor Supports Uber Regulations
Binghamton Mayor Richard David’s name is on the list of a coalition of mayors supporting a state-wide regulatory system for ride-sharing services like Uber.
Supporters of a state-wide initiative say consistent regulations are needed instead of a patchwork of rules set by individual local governments.
The mayors and other groups in the coalition say ride-sharing services will create 13,000 jobs in one year and reduce drunk driving incidents, increasing safety on the road.
