Join The Celebration At Binghamton’s Columbus Day Parade & Festival

Are you ready for the next local parade and festival? On Monday, October 13, the annual Columbus Day Parade will step off in Binghamton.

The details were revealed on October 8th by City of Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham, along with members of Binghamton’s Italian-American community.

In addition to the parade, the Italian Festival will also be held again this year. The day's festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with the raising of the Italian flag outside of Binghamton City Hall.

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Main and Arthur streets, heading east on Main Street to the front of the Broome County Courthouse, being led by the Binghamton High School Steel Drum Band, and grand marshal Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo.

The parade will again feature the annual Tournament of Marching Bands. Schools participating this year include New York State schools - Union-Endicott, Johnson City,  and Whitney Point, along with Pennsylvania high school bands - Williamson and Athens.

For more than sixty years, this celebration has brought people together in downtown Binghamton to enjoy live music, Italian food, and family-friendly entertainment, including the annual Tournament of Marching Bands. It’s a great opportunity to honor our area’s strong Italian-American heritage and the many contributions the Italian-American community has made to our city.
