Local restaurants in Downtown Binghamton and along the Vestal Parkway are expected to be busy and motorists are advised there could be increased traffic as well around popular gathering spots near the campus and downtown.

Events kick off September 20 with the inaugural Binghamton Block Party from 7-10 p.m. on Washington Street downtown.  The entire Gorgeous Washington Street block will be closed off for the party.

One of the events that is open to the community is called TIER Talks, “Mission Possible: Alumni Changing the World.”  The talk at 1:30 p.m. September 21 on campus at Lecture Hall 7 features remarks from three Binghamton University alumni who have dedicated their professional lives to humanitarian causes.

A big tailgate party will start at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Events Center parking lot leading up to the men’s soccer game against Monmoth.
