My daughter Tara is a senior in high school and I've been thinking back to when she was a young child. I have pictures in the house and memories on Facebook and I ask myself, how did she get to be a young lady so fast.

I'm fortunate that my little girl has led a healthy life and I am so blessed. Then I see stories about other girls that haven't been as fortunate and it brings a tear that I can feel to my heart.

Such is the case with Teagan. Teagan is a 5-year-old girl from Oxford and she was diagnosed with cancer in May of 2020. She was diagnosed with stage 5 Neuroblastoma and had to have surgery immediately.

They had to remove the main tumor in her abdomen and immediately started chemo. Teagan had to go to Philadelphia and had to have her stem cells removed to be cleaned.

Teagan had radiation done and had her stem cells put back in. She finished all of her treatments in October of 2021 and her first scan was clear. Unfortunately, Teagan's tumor returned behind her eye.

It was removed on March 3rd and is waiting for the pathology results. A group of volunteers got together and formed the "Teagan's Team of Fighters" and they are having a benefit for her.

Teagan's Team Of Fighters

It's at the Rough Riders Arena at 5072 County Road 32 in Norwich on Sunday, April 3rd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is to help pay medical and travel expenses. There will be food, a cornhole tournament, and more. You can find all the info that you need here.

I have to admit that Teagan looks a lot like Tara did when she was only 5 years old and I can't imagine what they are going through. #TeaganStrong.
