Both Binghamton Bearcats basketball teams face the Vermont Catamounts tonight in America East competition.  The men are home for a 7:00 PM tipoff (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) while the women are in Burlington for a 6:00 PM start (air at 5:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM WYOS).

Binghamton's women are 1-2 in the conference and 12-4 overall. The Catamounts are 7-9 and 1-2 in conference play.  Binghamton fell to UMass Lowell on Saturday 66-56 while the Catamounts defeated UMBC 60-58.

At the Events Center Binghamton's men's team faces a perennial powerhouse in America East.

The Catamounts lost to Stony Brook in their conference opener but rebounded with a 74-50 win over UMBC.  Vermont is lead by one of the conference's premier players in Anthony Lamb who is averaging over 17 points per game. In the last meeting with Binghamton in the America East semifinals the Catamounts rolled to an 84-51 victory.

Vermont owns the series versus the Bearcats.  The Catamounts have a 33-8 edge and have won nine consecutive games in the series.  Binghamton's leading scorer Sam Sessoms who is averaging 18.2 points per game paces the BU attack.
