I have gone on my rants about band members feuding and refusing to play with each other, but today I thought my blog would reflect groups that remain in tact today.

The Rolling Stones: One of the biggest selling groups of all time is the Rolling Stones, a group of guys who have vowed to stay together till death and after more than 50 years of making music and selling out arenas they stand true to their pledge.

The Who: While they lost drummer Keith moon in 1978 and bassist John Entwistle in 2002, the core of Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry continue in a group that like the Stones, have been rocking for over 50 years.

ZZ Top: The trio of Billy Gibbons Frank Beard and Dusty Hill have sold over 50 million records and have been together since 1969.

Rush: The original drummer John Rutsey left before the band hit its stride, the nucleus of Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson remain friends and bandmates.

Columbia Records

Aerosmith: They had a few lineup changes but everyday came back and the best selling rock band of all time is still together.

U2: Since 1978 the core of Bono, the Edge ,Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr have enjoyed success beyond their wildest dreams, they have sold more the 150 million albums in their continued run as friends and band mates.

I know there is a lot of band politics and like a marriage things can turn bad, but give the above mentioned some credit for learning to get along and respect each other for so many years.
