Auchinachie Cares is a wonderful program that recognizes local non-profit agencies each month.

What Is The Auchinachie Cares Program?

In September of 2016, Auchinachie Services launched Auchinachie Cares in 2016, and every month since, they have selected a local non-profit organization and donated $1,000.00 to their cause.

It’s a great way to bring awareness to these organizations and reward them for the great work they do in and for our community.

Auchinachie Cares Nominee For May 2026

This month, Auchinachie Cares recognizes a very important organization in the Southern Tier that offers support to veterans.

 The May nominee is the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. This group is dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and their families across the Southern Tier.

What Is the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group?

Southern Tier Veterans Support Group came about in 2011, partnering with over 70 affiliated agencies, connecting veterans with critical resources, including financial assistance, housing support, mental health services, employment tools, and essential needs such as transportation and emergency aid.

According to the STVS Group, through community education, collaboration, and direct support, they work to enhance the physical, emotional, and economic well-being of those who have served, making a meaningful difference for veterans throughout the 14 counties they serve.

Counties included in New York State: Broome, Tioga, Chemung, Delaware, Otsego, Chenango, Cortland, Tompkins, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates. In Pennsylvania: Bradford, Susquehanna, and Tioga Counties.
