Today was a tough day for me. It fell into the same category as my show did on 9/11 2001, the day of the A.M.A. shootings here in Binghamton, and the days of the floods of 06 and 2011. A day where the comedy bits and funny stories get put on hold so I can report breaking news of a major tragedy to you.

Driving in this morning, I was in such a great mood. The Eagles had won yesterday, I had some great strange but true stories lined up for this morning, the weekend was awesome, and I was looking forward to being on the air. As soon as I got to the studios this morning I was informed of the horrific shooting in Las Vegas last night. Last I saw, 58 people were killed and over 500 injured. All morning long I spoke about the tragedy and had audio clips from witnesses and emergency personnel out in Las Vegas. Not a fun day at all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families that were affected by this senseless killing. And a special prayer to the First Responders who helped to save lives. It takes a special kind of person to run towards the shooter, risking your own life to help save others. And a special prayer to those who helped administer care to those at the concert site, and to those who continue to administer care to the shooting victims in the hospitals in Las Vegas.
