Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Mark King was convicted of attempted sexual abuse of a minor in Alaska, which required him to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, but he moved to the lower 48 last July after serving six months in prison and didn’t register his change of address.

King has pleaded guilty to violating the federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

He admitted he moved sometime after he completed his prison time in Alaska and didn’t update his registration to reflect his valid address.

In addition to up to ten years in prison, King faces a possible fine of up to $250,000 and five years to life of post-release supervision.

Sentencing is set for March.
