It promises to be a really good year with first-year owners David and Karen Sobotka as we get ready for the team's "30th Season Celebration. It'll be a year full of good baseball and many special promotions.

Player Takeover Jerseys With The Binghamton Rumble Ponies

One of the special promotions that will be happening this season is the "Player Takeover" from June 10th to the 12th. And recently, the team held a fan vote to determine which special New York Mets-inspired uniforms the team will be wearing.

Here were the four choices:

After all the votes were counted, you picked the 1986 Throwback style jersey to be worn by the Ponies during Player Takeover. I personally like the Home Pinstripe style but I have no problem with the 1986 Throwback style jersey. Nothing beats the memories Mets fans have of those classic World Series-winning Mets.

Those fans are going to get a great nostalgia trip when they see those stripes on the field.
