Things I am Thankful for, Day 2....

The Southern Tier Academy of Riding (STAR) for teaching me how to PROPERLY and SAFLEY ride a motorcycle.

I am so sad that it is now gone, but I have made some life long friends because of that class. Tammy and Leon, I may not see you that often but hey.... WE KICKED ASS!

Toz and Wah, you guys rock when it comes to teaching the riding class. And you guys are now, for good or bad, on my "GOOD FRIENDS' list.

Riding a motorcycle has open up a whole new life for me and allowed me to be part of a whole new scene. I have started a Facebook site called (Southern Tier Biker). We started bike night during the day at Cruisin'Pallooza,  brought Bike Night to downtown Greene and have met even more who not only can talk the talk, but can ride the ride!

Thanks to Lex and Donna for all their efforts in raising money for charities through Bike Nite at Gilligans. These guys are always there when I need it and they do so very much in helping out charities and people in need in Northern Chenango County. Bike Nite in Sherburne is what we modeled Bike Nite-Greene after!!
Some people see bikers and they see a 'Bad Element.' I find most bikers are compassionate, caring folks who raise a ton of money for local charities, and just love the feel of having two wheels (or sometimes 3) beneath them as they see the world from the seat of the V-Twin ticket to freedom.

Coming up starting next week, we will be featuring more about bikes and bikers on our web site at 991thewhale.com. If you have cool bike photos, send em in to me. (ps, make sure you let me know who took the pic otherwise I cannot pass it along)

In the meantime, I just wanted to say thanks to you, the Biker Community, for taking me in and making me one of you.... even though is still ride.... a Honda.
