New York Giants Win Big Against Carolina: Why Big Wally Still Can’t Trust Them

How about them New York FOOTBALL Giants?? I got to say, I was very surprised to see them get that huge dominating win over the Panthers last night. That, with all the key players they had outta the game. But I have to wonder, am I too negative? Or is it just my superstition that makes me think they will lose, thereby they will win?

Throughout the years, I have endured what would look like great seasons to start, only to have them crumble like stale crackers in my beef-a-roni stew. Am I a true fan, or just someone who likes to hear himself whine? Some may say the latter. I say this.....

I bleed true blue. I am a die hard Giants fan and a self professed expert on the game of football itself. I am A FOOTBALL FREAK! I love the high school game and played for Dick Russ at Chenango Forks High when we were ranked #3 in the state back in '78. I was at Texas A and M which is big time football, watched Donovan throw his TD passes at 'Cuse and have seen Big Blue play many times live, including in the NFC Championship game.

I know football, that's why I question sometimes what Tom Coughlin, Head Coach of the NY Giants does. Why do they keep running to the corner when they don't have the speed? Stop that ALREADY! Wait... Eli, don't throw the ball into double coverage. RATS! Picked off! Again! Ok... Let's go D!

The deal is, I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop. For the wheels to fall off the bus! I've been there before when the Vikes and the Niners made come-back-from-the-dead 4th quarter wins. I have been around for Ray Handly and his ilk. I am always thinking that something bad is gonna happen to the G-men in every single game of every season, no matter what. Does that make me superstitious?
